The National Ballet Kiev presents the most popular classical ballet "Swan Lake" in a remarkable performance. The immortal and touching music of Pjotr Tschaikowski, a fairy-tale plot, captivating dances as well as opulent costumes and stage settings, turn this production into a fascinating experience.
Tschaikowski enthused people way beyond typical ballet lovers with his music for "Swan Lake": Especially "The Dance of the Little Swans" acquired worldwide recognition. Classical ballet and Swan Lake in particular expresses feelings without wasting any words. Music and dance melt into one language, easily understood by anyone.
"If I was able to express my feelings with words, I wouldn't have to dance at all" said prima ballerina assoluta Margot Fonteyn.
The National Ballet Kiev is one of todays best ensembles. Star soloists of legendary corps de ballet join the ensemble – namely, in the upcoming season, the stars of the National Opera Kiev, Olga Golytsya and Jan Vana – and contribute to success with their extensive repertoire, from Great Britain, Italy and countless cities in Germany over to China and South Africa.

The perfidious magician Rotbart sees his chance: He sends his own daughter Odile in the shape of Odette to the castle to deceive prince Siegfried. He succeeds and the blinded prince reneges his promise. He asks for Odelle`s forgiveness, as he realises that he got fooled.
